GFAN Global Strategy Meeting Report (March 2024)

We’re thrilled to announce that the highly anticipated report from the #GFAN2024 Annual Strategy Meeting is now available! Dive into the comprehensive insights, key takeaways, and actionable strategies crafted during our dynamic gathering.

The 2024 Global Fund Advocates Network (GFAN) Global Strategy Meeting unfolded from March 20th to 22nd, blending physical and virtual participation. 85 attendees from across the globe gathered in person in Bangkok, Thailand, while 7 others joined remotely, engaging in at least part of the proceedings.

Resource mobilization for the Global Fund was the meeting’s main overarching topic. This included preliminary planning and strategizing about the 8th replenishment process for the Global Fund, which will end with a pledging conference expected in the third quarter of 2025. The 8th replenishment is the primary approach to raise the majority of funds for all aspects of the institution’s operations from 2026–2028, including grants to implementing countries and programmes. That upcoming three-year period is known as Grant Cycle 8 (GC8).
