The World Health Summit (WHS) has grown in importance for global health advocates. It would typically fall too late in the Replenishment calendar to influence outcomes, but the timeline for the 8th Replenishment has shifted — giving the summit renewed relevance. As one of the final major global health moments before the close of the Replenishment campaign, WHS 2025 is expected to be a key space for new commitments and pledges from governments, companies, and foundations.
WHS is not always the easiest space for advocates and activists — it is highly technical, formal, and speaking opportunities are limited. Yet, precisely for that reason, it’s where decision-makers gather, engage, and can be reached. It is an opportunity to make civil society and community perspectives visible, and to remind leaders that funding gaps have real human consequences — and that communities must be central to solutions.
GFAN will be there to connect, convene, and keep the focus on people and partnerships that drive impact. We’ll be sharing key messages, updates, and calls to action — and we’d love to hear from you too. Got intel to share, or something you or your organization is planning? Let us know!
Here’s our Guide for GFANers at WHS 2025 — including tips on how to engage, where to find us, and how to make the most of your time in Berlin. And don’t forget to RSVP for our events listed below — from meetups to key panels featuring civil society voices.
