Maher Sleiman is a Lebanese programme management and advocacy professional with a background in nursing and public policy. His work across the MENA region spans Global Fund-supported HIV programmes, human rights, civil society strengthening, and regional advocacy, with a focus on connecting community experience, programme realities, and policy decision-making.
What he enjoys most is working with people who see the same challenge from different angles and finding ways to bring those perspectives together. He believes some of the strongest responses emerge when communities, policymakers, technical experts and funders are brought into the same conversation.
He is interested in how evidence and lived experience can inform one another, and how public policy can become more responsive to the people it's meant to serve. He enjoys asking questions, listening carefully, and helping turn ideas into action.
